Meeting women Silicon Valley

Summer is over….Fall is here….searching for needle in a haystack match for our dreamy CUTE wine country MD client

iStock_80245303_SMALL copy.jpgWHAT a whirlwind summer! My faithful readers, I am so sorry I have been totally derelict in writing anything on this blog these last few months. Truth be told, it has been non-stop for the Linx ladies with our on-going VIP searches and screening countless candidates for our clients. We’ve traveled near and far, we’ve matched many couples, and while many have stayed together, we’ve dealt with a few breakups. That’s life though and part of the dating process.

So fast forward, we are here at the office busier than ever, cranking away, burning the midnight oil looking for some match candidates for our new clients. As always, thank you for your help in self-nominating yourself if you feel you’re a match or nominating your friend.

NO FEES shall be incurred for any qualifying individuals – our existing clients have paid their way and we are seeking additional good matches for them!

ADVENTUROUS NAPA MD SEEKS SENSIBLE AND FUN PARTNER

Our client is a smart, sophisticated, and attractive 36-year-old woman of mixed Southeast Asian islandic heritage who was born and raised in San Francisco.  Standing 5’3”, with a petite, feminine frame, her wavy dark hair is long and silky while her eyes are brown.  To stay in shape, she’s an avid swimmer and enjoys being outside as much as possible.

Medical School and Surgical Residency/Fellowship took her around the country where she developed an appreciation for Southern cooking and hospitality as well as a palette for chocolate martinis while she was training in Hershey!  Although her travels and educational activities also took her around the globe (where one of her favorite cities became Geneva, Switzerland), she recently returned home to Northern California to develop her first Surgical Practice right after graduation.

She lives in beautiful Napa Valley surrounded by vineyards but also travels to San Francisco to reconnect with childhood friends and family on a regular basis. Our client understands that dating takes compromise, and she is willing and excited to venture outside of Napa to develop a relationship.  Furthermore, she is not wed to staying in sunny Napa forever.  While her focus is work, she is a realist and a romantic at heart who will relocate for love especially since her job provides her flexibility to do so.

She is fortunate to have several months off a year while working as a Trauma Surgeon.  During her free time, she pursues her interest in developing surgical devices and innovations with friends.  However, she is not a “plain Jane” where she’s all work and no play!  She is adventurous and might be seen going racecar driving with her former surgical residents or enjoying local music and cuisine at festivals in San Francisco and events at wineries.  Most of all, what catches your attention is her energy and caring personality, which radiates warmth that indelibly draws others to her.  Some may wonder why she is still single?  To which she responds that her mantra thus far has been “Books before Boys,” which has changed since completing her academic training.

Our client is best suited for a gentleman between the ages of 33-39 years old, must be 5’10”+, slender to average physique, Caucasian in heritage. He is affable, considerate, kind, compassionate, handy and resourceful, unique in some way and self-sufficient. Career wise, her dream match commands his career and is powerful in his own industry.

Deal breakers: under 5’10”, has kids, or doesn’t want children.

If you think you might make a great candidate or you know anyone who could make a great candidate for her, please email Amy at: amy@linxdating.com

This Week in Perspective

My head is spinning here. Somehow June is nearly to an end…and July…is right around the corner. How did that happen? Things are incredibly busy at Linx. We are extremely excited to announce a very large VIP celebrity search based in Los Angeles soon (details to follow in subsequent blog post featuring who we are searching for and a bit about our new male VIP) and we just can’t seem to keep up with the extraordinary high demand here in the Silicon Valley and Bay Area at large.

Last week we hosted a very successful two-day event screening tons of impressive men and women who have so graciously submitted their information to meet our clients. We hand selected a few of these great professionals who make a solid match for our current VIPs (and other clients of ours too.) These candidates we selected each possess something unique that stands out, thus contributing to the overall diversity that the Linx network represents. A random sampling of who we thought would be nice fits for Linx are: a confident and “salt of the earth” early 30’s gentleman exec living in Palo Alto, a gorgeous Mixed heritage 20-something Harvard MBA female, and blond late 20’s outdoorsy female exec from San Diego. I also interviewed a new male VIP who’s a truly remarkable great guy. He’s early 50’s, an exec, super affable, handsome, and new to the Bay Area. If you’re a 40-something fun and warmhearted attractive female who would love to meet a true southern gentleman, ping me today.

Last week, I also got to visit with acclaimed author, Justina Chen, who is currently working on her new book. Tina flew down from Seattle to visit me and watch me in action to understand a day in the life of a matchmaker. She’s working on a new novel about a generational family of matchmakers. So exciting! Her latest novel is called Return To Me. It is about the struggles that arise from betrayal, the uncertainty of life for a teenage girl, and the happiness found within the depths of your heart. Tina gave me a couple of her books to enjoy as a parting gift. One is a Survival Guide for the Blindsided and Brokenhearted called “What Now.” This guide helps women get through traumatic break-ups and life after divorce. Never a pleasant subject. For any Linx blog readers that are going through a hard time, I really recommend this guide to help turn your dust into stardust! Tomorrow we have many meetings and interviews at the office. We have a stunning Ivy League graduate who is incredibly classy and poised meeting us and an international male dance champion to name two! We’ll be meeting with a very desirous male CEO end of week who will be our new VIP. With all of these exciting appointments, there is a lot of matchmaking taking place and talking to new candidates. Interestingly, a lot of people are off the market right now. Either people they’ve met on their own or though Linx. Summer is a time to head out of the house and workplace and be more available. Put yourself out there, be you, be confident, and friendly. On a separate note, I really am trying to find a date for a big Link & Drink soiree. August maybe!

A few of my favorite things

Valentine’s has come and gone. I have gotten word of new exclusive couples and couples that are traveling together. I received very sweet messages in the snail mail and email, chocolate gifts, and other kind cupid day sentiments from clients.San Mateo-20130212-00937Pink orchids, purples, and reds grace the Linx office this week.  San Mateo-20130218-00966A sweet card in the mail for Valentine’s from a lovely Linx gentleman client

This week is a busy one at Linx. We had a full work day on Presidents Day and tomorrow is nuts at our offices with three interviews and a prospect screening. I have a girl flying in from LA for her interview and she gets to already have a date tomorrow night.

I had one amazing on paper guy flake out today from his interview which was a real bummer but I gather he isn’t ready to commit. When someone is one foot in and one foot out of our process, it is best for them to wait till they are two feet in. Although it would have been such a pleasure to have this dynamic CEO in Linx, as they say…it is all about timing. San Mateo-20130212-00939Onto fun news….Linx is officially trademarked with the United States Patents and Trademark Office. It was many years in the making and today I got my official certificates with registered numbers for: Are You Linked? Linx Dating, and Link & Drink.San Mateo-20130218-00967CNN should be airing this week and I will keep you posted of that too. CNN was an interview from December and they also featured a fun mixer too. I am super excited about it and naturally very curious as to how it turns out.
