This is Your Life In Silicon Valley…

Do you love HBO’s Silicon Valley? Do you like reading about the latest technology trends? Then you’ll love this show, “This is Your Life In Silicon Valley.” Think of us as the real world/explain-it-how-it-is podcast for anyone with a Silicon Valley fetish. The Bay Area, San Francisco, and California in general are undergoing massive political and social change. Insiders, and Valley apologists liken the Silicon Valley to Rome during the Renaissance. This podcast examines life in the Valley by interviewing some of its most prominent insiders – both apologists and skeptics. We discuss the cultural quirks of living here, what to legitimately fear, what to feel excited about, and what is just plain weird. šŸ˜‰

I am interviewed as an expert on matchmaking in the Bay Area, and explain why dating people in San Francisco may not be the best idea in the world. In this episode, I also dive into the nitty gritty — speaking specifically about who I would pair Mark Zuckerberg with if he were single.

Announcing our newest young Linx member: An elegant and mature 28-year old Ivy educated female….

We are excited to announce a new search for a dynamic and talented young 28-year old client. She is of Chinese descent and stands at an elegant 5’9’’ with a slender athletic physique, long silky black hair and warm brown eyes. She has a classy feminine style, and her smile lights up any room she walks into. Smart, strong, sexy, she embodies intellectual depth, cultural sophistication, cosmopolitan charisma, and quiet confidence.Ā

This candidate is a vibrant, multilingual citizen of the world- born in China, educated in the US, and lived in Singapore, Israel, Spain among other places. Especially, living in Israel during an active war made her appreciate diverse perspectives even more. How people came together during that difficult time inspired her to be bold, live a full life, and lift others up along the journey.

At the young age of 28, she has been fortunate enough to have traveled to more than 50 countries and all six inhabited continents (Antarctica soon). She has so many amazing travel stories to share, and some of her favorite adventures include dancing tango in Buenos Aires, scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, sailing into the Mediterranean sunsets, exploring historic sites in Europe, and road-tripping along the Garden Route in South Africa. She is always fascinated to learn more about this small world and looks forward to future international trips, perhaps with you šŸ™‚

She graduated from a top Ivy League and has since been pursuing an exciting career in growth-stage tech investing at a prestigious fund in Silicon Valley. She is grateful to be always learning at the forefront of tech innovation and feels inspired to partner with some of the most influential entrepreneurs in the world. Her insatiable sense of curiosity extends beyond her fulfilling career – she is an avid reader and likes to discuss world affairs.

Weekends are spent being active and outdoors. She loves the ocean and mountains, and enjoys skiing, hiking, surfing, scuba diving, swimming, etc. She also likes tennis, cycling, yoga, and learning new sports in general. She has been to more than 35 US national parks and adventures never stop. Her favorite US national park is Glacier with majestic mountains, stunning glacier-carved valleys, vast pristine meadows, crystal clear waters, and gorgeous wildlife all in one place. Much less traveled, Glacier is a hidden gem with some of the most epic hikes she has done.

It was also such a blessing that she got to work remotely from Hawaii and explore all the islands for 12 months during COVID. She came back with the true aloha spirit. When not traveling, she likes to discover new restaurants, watch art performances, catch up with friends, and enjoy cozy nights by a fireplace.Ā

She comes from a loving family and her parents are still happily married after 32 years. She is family-oriented, deeply caring and kind, compassionate, tremendously loyal, and emotionally intelligent. She is also passionate about giving back.

Her best suited match is someone between the ages of 28-40. He’s 5’10ā€+, enjoys an active and athletic lifestyle, and is cute!

In a partner, our client values a growth mindset, thoughtfulness, good humor, and an equal partnership. Her best suited match wants to be with a smart and independent woman and inspire one another to think big and create an incredible life together.

1 + 1 = 3

Her match is on a strong professional trajectory, knows what he wants and goes for it! Ideally this candidate is based in the Bay Area or is willing to uproot himself for a significant relationship.

If you or anyone you know might make a tremendously unique match for this wonderful client of ours, please email Amy at:Ā amy@linxdating.com

FOR SINGLE WOMEN AGES 40-60

Our client is 57, but looks 47, 6’5ā€, 225, mesomorph without a workout fetish. He’s follically evolved, has kind green eyes, and a dazzling smile behind his Italian lips that masks the PTSD he experienced as a child with an army of metal wires in his mouth. Midwestern to the core, he still lives and dies home state sports and travels back regularly for games and to visit family. A man’s man, he always counseled his sisters never to trust an American who didn’t like football or a European who didn’t like football (the real kind).

He is overeducated. B.A (yes A) Mathematics, MS and PhD with a four-syllable major from Stanford. Tenured at a very prestigious university in the Bay Area. His motto is ā€œThose that can do, those that can’t teach, and those that can’t do either become administratorsā€. He has compensated for his faculty salary (he told us ā€œit’s good for the soulā€), by founding successful startups and advising major corporations in technical intellectual property. Ā He’s also stepped in same, advising VC’s and Hedge Funds for over two decades. Ā Currently he is advising/BOD member of 4 startups in series A and B rounds. Ā La ti da.

But that’s not all. He plays jazz piano (and actually gets paid to do it) at venues in the Bay Area. He received his music education from a well-known music conservatory in the last century and often waxes poetic about the past (he’s truly an old soul). He also is an accomplished ballroom dancer, having won dance contests in dive bars over the years. Ā And there’s more yet. He also played D1 sports in college. His passion now is golf, holding a 3 handicap. However, don’t worry, he only plays about once or twice a week. He’s almost always the life-of-the-party and can regale you with life experiences such as searching for buried treasure on three continents.

He’s a grateful empty nester. He was married for 14 years, and is devoted to his son who is a college sophomore in southern California focused on baseball, study and girls (but not necessarily in that order). Ā He’s anticipating the next stage of his life and would love to find his muse. He’s looking for someone who is a yin to his yang. His ideal woman would be 40-60 years old, have humor, kindness, and be down-to-earth. She’s honest, adoring, fun, compassionate, and has sex appeal–perhaps a cross between Madeline Kahn and Sofia Vergara.

If you or anyone you know might make an exceptional match for our dynamic client, please email founder/CEO Amy at: amy@linxdating.com

Thank you and have a great holiday weekend! ā¤ļøāœˆļøšŸ˜˜āœØ

Where Are The Men in Silicon Valley?

Linx is featured in this month’s Town & Country annual Top 50 Bachelor’s issue. Ladies, grab a copy today to check out T & C’s list of the most desirable bachelors hitting the singles scene. These guys range from: Sergey Brin, Aaron Levie, and Uber’s Travis Kalanick to name a few. -1

Linx was asked to name some of my picks of where the techie bachelors go when not working and the toys they like to spend hard earned dollars on. In summary, ladies head to BJ’s in Cupertino on a Thursday for happy hour.

BJ’s is very casual and is a chain restaurant- think nachos, beer on tap, big screens, and a lot of guys! This is across the street from Apple’s campus and is swarming with techies in black turtlenecks with iPhone in hand and beer in another. Now please don’t mistake BJ’s for the next Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel swanky scene. It is anything but upscale! šŸ˜‰

Ladies, dress casually yet chic and don’t forget a ponytail if your hair is long enough. As I told Emily Holt in T & C, guys love ponytails- especially the techies! Remember they tell me everything!
