Announcing our latest VIP male!

We are elated to start working with a new male VIP. He has take the time to write this narrative to the Linx female readership with the hopes that one of you might be his dream match. Ladies…this guy is very, *very* handsome.
~
I guess I didn’t picture myself putting my bio out here like this. It feels vulnerable, a little daring, and exposed. Maybe you agree?

A little bit about me. I grew up in New Orleans, and have a super close relationship to my family. Love my adorable nieces, and look up to my parents who have been married for over 45 years with respect and admiration.

Education, integrity, and tenacity, are all mantras in my life. I’m an executive by day and work really hard, but also play hard. I love anything creative and artistic — in fact, I enjoy writing, and have a best-selling book in circulation. I also enjoy photography, and going on photo tours of incredible places. I’m definitely looking for a career driven match, who understands I work a lot, and has her own life, and gets tremendous satisfaction from her awesome job doing whatever you do!149516_501943443782_8117570_n Photo I took in Honduras

I also really need my match to be able to push me intellectually. Smart girls are hot! Bring it on! I graduated from Stanford University with both my undergrad and post grad. Love my Cardinal pride.

At heart, I’m a family man who loves spending time with my parents, siblings, and nieces. I also love dogs (but don’t have one yet). Keeping active and healthy are also important parts of my daily routine. I eat well, enjoy swimming, and being active. I care about looking good for my partner.

My faith is a core tenant in my life. I’m culturally Jewish (more so than the pure religion) and ultimately desire finding a Jewish match as well. I understand that this can wash out some amazing potential matches from the start, but for me this is really important. 36156_501943078782_4948011_n Photo from my travels in Guatemala…unripened oranges

At the end of the day, I’m a really busy guy, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time for a relationship. In fact, finding my needle in a haystack dream girl is my main priority. If you like what you’ve read here, email Amy Andersen to be considered for a match amy@linxdating.com. I wish you luck on your journey. Thanks for reading.

Recruiting Silicon Valley Guys!

JP Mangalindan of Fortune Magazine wrote about Linx stating, “she’s fashioned a reputation among tech executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and publicists as a modern-day Silicon Valley yenta. Her 750 “active” clients — individuals who have signed up just within the last two years — include employees of companies such as Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB), Google (GOOG), Amazon (AMZN), Oracle (ORCL), Salesforce (CRM) and run from early twenty-something entrepreneurs to retired tech execs and investors in their sixties.”

We love our young Linx members who are at FB and GOOG – so many of them are insanely bright, eager, and humble. A trend this week has been the large number of females from FB writing to me – a common theme seems to be that they work a ton and refuse to muddy the waters by dating colleagues at work. I think a lot of AAPL, AMZN, and LinkedIn GUYS have exactly the same mentality but are less likely to hit “SEND” and enlist the help of a matchmaker… Not sure if this is shyness, shame, or simply lack of awareness that something like Linx is literally exactly what could help and is not one of those artificial airline magazine stereotype dating services.

If you know anyone who could benefit from Linx at one of these companies out there in Silicon Valley email me. We’ve been hitting some campuses this week recruiting talent and saying hi to clients in between. We love spreading awareness about connecting Silicon Valley men and women to the right type of match through our thoughtful vetting and methodology of “science” meets “art.” San Jose-20130722-01319 In between meetings and recruiting at GOOG this week…glazed, plain, sprinkles, no sprinkles…variety is the spice of life.

Weddding bells are in the distance here at Linx. We have a beautiful couple tying the knot this weekend. A perfecting matched very happy couple who I am just on cloud 9 for. Both mid 30’s, Ivy League educated, and so evenly matched on all fronts. Grinning ear to ear here thinking about them. More later….

Announcing our latest VIP

Linx is excited to announce another VIP search.

Our client is an adventurous and intellectually curious gentleman in his early 50’s.

He is Caucasian, 6’0″, fit, attractive, stylish, and with a contagious smile.

Our client is new to the Bay Area, having just moved to the Bay Area from across the United States.

He’s an independent spirit who is searching for the love of his life and has retained Linx to help him find her.

He’s a successful executive, very driven, a leader in his field and well educated.

Yet when he’s not working…you’d never know he’s a tough guy at work.

He has a capability to dial it back, reveal a fun and playful side to him, and create a glorious work-life balance in his down time.

He is a unique blend of many traits — kind, serious, irreverent, quiet, but never at a loss for words, thoughtful, yet quick to make decisions, patient but not one who suffers fools gladly, if at all.

His playlist runs from U2, to Beethoven, from Lucinda Williams to Verdi. He is a good listener and an astute observer of people. He has an inquisitive mind and loves to learn about new things.

His passions outside of the scope of work are wide ranging but a short list includes: his big dogs, his adult son, NBA basketball, photography, travel, his new home he built, wine, and keeping active. Another significant hobby for our client is flying. Piper Matrix PA-46-R350T

He’d love for his dream match to be comfortable flying with him in his airplane.

Our VIP desires Sexy, Smart, Stable, and with a Great Sense of Humor! She is between the ages of 35-45, Caucasian, 5’6″ plus, stylish, fit, and naturally attractive. His match is witty, easy to be around, fun, comfortable with herself, adventurous, and doesn’t take herself too seriously!

She’s looking for a true gentleman through and through and will embrace a man who is chivalrous. After a long work week, she’d love to
have a quiet night in by the outdoor fire grilling and sipping a glass of wine as she would be jetting off to Santa Barbara or Tahoe with
her match.

If you or anyone you know might qualify to meet this extraordinary client of ours, please contact amy ASAP. amy@linxdating.com

Just In! Another Match Me To!

From an anonymous female reader….

I’m loving your blog; Ben Rattray would definitely be be at the top of my list too. An attractive and intelligent man positively impacting the world? Yes, please!JGbPexwcbPbWFYl-556x313-noPad

Looks like a trend in Silicon Valley is that females are desiring the holistic embodiment of a guy. He is cute (wide ranging definition of course), intelligent, influential, dynamic, well rounded, and creating positive impact for the world around him. Are there more guys like Ben out there who might not be as well-known?

What Women Are Looking For in Silicon Valley- one perspective

A Linx blog reader submitted this information anonymously about her perspective on what she is looking as she is dating in Silicon Valley.

Last Thursday, I went to the Rosewood after work for happy hour

Here’s what I am looking for in rank order:

1) A sexually attractive man. I don’t know that I would call it ‘beauty’. From the neck up, he doesn’t have to look like a model. But he MUST take care of his body – hit the gym regularly and not have a belly and be toned/have some muscle. When I was at Rosewood, I was amazed by the number of men who I just did not find sexually attractive. They may have great jobs, but they don’t take care of themselves. Men say they need to be attracted to a woman. Well I am no different, I need to be attracted to men.

2) Humble. Also, as I looked around, I was struck by the number of men who appeared to me to be self involved and arrogant. This is from observing their body language, facial expressions, and interactions. The true gem is the man who has an education and a good career, yet at the same time is humble. He is grounded. That tells me he has good values, is introspective, and is authentic with himself and others.

3) Mature. I went to a beer party at my tech company last week and I was struck that the majority of men at the beer event seemed like and looked like boys. From how they dressed, to how they groomed themselves, to their social skills. I know some executives in my department who are MEN, but they don’t go to these beer events. Maybe that’s why.”

Readers, what are you looking for as you are dating in and out of Silicon Valley? Do you agree? What might trump your wish list? Would love for you to send me an email and I can post anonymously too.

Today’s Match Me To

This just came in anonymously for the Match Me To Wish List…

I would put Ben Rattray at the top of my list! Who wouldn’t want someone like him?! Not only is he cute, he has changed people’s lives for the better. He’s definitely a bright spot in the dark world that we sometimes see on a daily basis. Men like him are rare!” Ben you out there listening? 😉

Today we are grinding through a bunch of new candidate screenings. Yesterday welcomed new intern, Zoe, for the summer. Zoe helped us interview ten new candidates who have submitted information to meet VIPs. Impressive women through and through.

I
t continues to amaze me how everyday I get inquiries coming from the Vanity Fair article. Who would have thought Cougar is so chic and exciting?

I am going to be promoting an invite-only ladies night for complimentary blow-outs, bubbly, mini cupcakes, and conversation soon. Even in hearing that if you want to get on my invite list ping me asap for consideration. Date TBD. August and in Palo Alto. The perfect opportunity to look fab and then head out for girls night or a date.

Match Me To!

If you could meet anyone in Silicon Valley or San Francisco whom you consider to be one of the hottest bachelor or bachelorettes, who would it be? You know there is someone out there that you either think would never go for you, or who might go for you but you don’t have access to him/her, or you are too shy to put it out there that you have a crush on them!

Getting linked and matched to your sexiest crush just got easier! Even if you aren’t a client of Linx, email me your wishes and perhaps we can increase your odds. Did you know that hundreds of brainy and successful young professionals email me each week inquiring about our invite-only matchmaking and about ways to fire up the engines of their dating life? We have thousands and thousands of names in our proprietary database.

Our clients submit their wish lists of “Match Me To’s” when they join. Sometimes one of their names is a client or in the database. In other cases, if it is a Linx VIP client, I will recruit outside the network to try to make their wish come true. This was the case today in my email correspondance with one uber successful Silicon Valley male CEO VIP client of Linx. He reached out to tell me how he knows of a gorgeous Fullbright Scholar whom he thinks is quite the cats meow. Although this brainy babe isn’t in our network (yet), I’ll take it as a chance to leverage our brand and reach out to her. 07BACHELORVILLE-superJumbo Photo is from a New York Times article June 2013 quoting Linx.
